PAWAN Deshmukh and Vinit Kumar excelled with bat and ball respectively as TRO defeated Mechanical Department to clinch the 26th DRM Cup Cricket tournament organised by Divisional Sports Association Central Railways (DSACR) at its ground in Ajni.

Invited to bat first, TRO posted 125 from 20 overs. Deshmukh scored 23-ball 22 runs which had three boundaries. Dinesh Rajput contributed 17 runs from 13 deliveries. He slammed four boundaries. For Mechanical, Kunal Kadu was the most successful bowler with three wickets while Prakash Kalaskar, Imran Khan and Rahul Pali took two each.

In reply, Mechanical were all out for 105 in 18.5 overs.

Satish Thakur was the highest scorer for his side with 29 runs from 24 deliveries. He slammed four boundaries and one maximum.

Sushil Chaudhary added 18 runs. For TRO, Ashish Kumar bowled well taking three wickets for 22 runs and Vinit Kumar 2 for 19.

Ashish Kumar was named man of the final while Pawan Deshmukh was declared best batsman and Rohit Awale best bowler. Megraj Nikode of TRS was declared as man of the tournament.
