There was a stir at Swami Vivekananda Post-Graduate College on Monday afternoon when the paper of BCom (Second Year) Banking and Insurance subject was leaked. As soon as the Principal and professors came to know about the paper leak, the entire management was shocked. Efforts were started to find out how the paper leak happened and the police were also called after informing the Kotwali.
Late in the evening, the Principal reached Kotwali police station to lodge a complain where he was told that first the college should complete the due process, after that a complaint could be filed with the police. Information about the matter is being given by the college management to the Vice-Chancellor and Examination Controller of the RDU.
It is said that according to the prescribed examination schedule of the Higher Education Department, from 3 pm on Monday, the second year Banking and Insurance subject paper was to be held on Monday. Complete preparation was done by the college management. The examinees also started sitting in the examination halls according to their respective roll numbers. But 5 minutes before 3 pm, at professor doing examination duty saw the paper on the mobile of student, Ankit Sahu, resident of village Sanagapur. After this, the questioning of the student started and it came to light that about a dozen students had the paper in their mobile. Due to which the investigation started in the matter by confiscating the mobiles of all the students. The college management immediately informed the Kotwali police. After this, the police investigation on the spot and interacted with the Principal and professors, students of the college. But till late night, the management failed to find out from where did the paper come in the students’ mobiles. There was a stir in the college. The management hastily started to find information about where and how the management form leak happened. But the management’s negligence in the whole matter was that the Principal and the staff reached the Kotwali late in the evening to file a complaint in the incident that took place in the afternoon. It is said that when the police reached the college after the information of the paper leak, during that time some student leaders also showed their activism. The Principal showed great interest in making videos. But before reaching Kotwali, the entire process through Rani Durgavati University (RDU) and examination control was not completed by the college management. Due to this, the police, citing the rules, made it clear that first the college should decide who leaked the paper, only then the case could be established.
The Principal had to return from Kotwali at around 8.30 pm. At the same time, the police have immediately noted down the information of the students concerned and seized 14 mobiles.
