“Following the directions issued by the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and under the guidance of District and Sessions Judge Naveen Kumar Saxena, National Lok Adalat will be held on May 14 at district courts, Taluka courts, labour courts, family courts and other courts in the District, informed Secretary,” District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Umashankar Agarawal.
Secretary, DLSA, Agarawal was addressing a press conference called on Thursday to inform about the National Lok Adalat.
District Legal Help Officer, Mohammad Jeelani was also present during press conference.
They informed that various cases pending in various courts to be placed under National Lok Adalat scheduled on May 14. The cases include Criminal Compoundable Cases, Section 138 Negotiable Instruments Act, Bank recovery, MACT (Motor Accident Compensation Claim Cases), Labor Dispute, Electricity and Water Tax/Bill related, Matrimonial, Land Acquisition, Revenue (District only / Pending in the Court, Civil, Pre-litigation, Bank Recovery related, Labor dispute etc. The general public/litigating parties are requested by Secretary, DLSA to avail maximum benefit of the exemption offered under National Lok Adalat and participate in the maximum numbers.
