MEN and women teams and a host of individual players of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) returned with rich haul of medals from All India Inter-University Mini Golf Championships that concluded at Suresh Gyanvihar University, Jaipur.
Nagpur men’s team comprising Sudhir Suhagpure, Prince Songade, Ajay Dhankare, Vikas Kumar Yadav, Durgesh Mendhe, Tanishq Chajjer, Meet Lakhani and Anup Tiwari won silver medal in the fairway event.
Dhankare in singles event and the duo of Suhagpure and Songade bagged gold medals. In the mixed doubles, Deepa Monnat and Saksham Bhandari picked a bronze.
In the stroke event, Gajanan Thakare and Parth Hiwarkar bagged golds in individual event and while partnering they grabbed a bronze.
In women’s fairway doubles, Ekta Mandpe and Isha Dabaliya won silver while the pair of Shubhangi Suhagpure and Harshika Borkar clinched bronze. In fairway singles, Trupti Madavi won a bronze. In the team event RTMNU eves finished second best to bag silver. Suyog Kukde, Sameer Deodhar and Snehlata Bhagat were the trainers while Vinod Meshram accompanied the team as Manager.
Registrar Dr Raju Hiwase congratulated all the players and wished them luck for their future endeavours. Director, Sports and Physical Education Department Dr Sharad Suryawanshi was prominently present on the occasion.
