Class X, XII results declared: Distt’s students below expectations

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, (MPNSE) Bhopal announced the Class X and XII Board results on Friday afternoon. The class X students obtained 59.54 per cent passing percentage while those of class XII had 72.72 per cent. Once again girls performed better than the boys in the merit lists of both the classes.
Shockingly, performance of the students of Jabalpur district remained below-expectation. As a result, out of 52 districts, Jabalpur district stood in 47 slot with 44.92 per cent overall result in class X Board result while it’s position remained 40th with 65.41 pr cent in class XII district-wise list. Simran Koshta from Government Pandit Lajja Shankar Jha Model HS Excellence School was the only student from Jabalpur district who could manage to secure the 10th position in the top-10 State-level merit list of class XII. Simran obtained 96.4% with 482 marks.
According to District Education Officer, Ghanshyam Soni, in class XII District-level Merit list, Swapnil Bagri, student of Government Vishnu Dutt HS School, Sihora topped Humanities Group with 467 out of 500 marks while Pranshi Sahu from Government Kamla Nehru Girls HS School scored second position with 460 marks.
In the Science (Maths+Biology) Group, Kuldeep Singh Thakur from Saraswati HS School, Ranjhi obtained first position in the district merit list with 478 marks (95.6%) followed by Manish Patel from Samdariya Public HS School Madhotal (476) and Akanksha Mishra from St. Joseph’s Convent HS School, Ranjhi (475) on second and third positions respectively.
In Commerce Group, Niharika Patel from Shanti Niketan School, Gurunanak Ward Panagar topped in district with 464 marks followed by Kumud Tripathi from Spring Day HS School Anand Nagar (463 marks) on second position.
Similarly, Rohit Vishwakarma from Government Pandit Lajja Shankar Jha Model HS Excellence School topped the
Agriculture Group with 445 marks, whereas, Shaheen from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Vyouharbagh scored first position in Fine Arts Group with 427 marks, respectively. Whereas in Class X, Sameeksha Kurmi from Sarvottam Shishu Mandir Higher Secondary School, Indrana and Nihalika Pyasi from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Sihora jointly shared the top position in the district-level merit list with 486 marks. Similarly, Shraddha Kushwaha from Govet Girls Higher Secondary School, Katangi, Aarti Yadav from Mispa Mission HS School, Sihora and Netik Namdeo from Gyanodaya Children Academy obtained second slot while Maitri Jain from Mispa Mission HS School, Sihora scored third position in the Class X District-level merit list, respectively.
