Taj Hassan, IPS, Director General Fire Service, Civil Defence & Home Guards, Ministry of Home Affairs, recently visited National Fire Service College, Nagpur to review and streamline the progress of work assigned to the college. He was accompanied by Moreshwar Kudkilwar, Deputy Fire Adviser. R S Chaudhari, Director NFSC welcomed him with floral bouquet. Thereafter, he discussed and deliberated on many important issues at length with the officers pertaining to upgradation of college, technological development in terms of establishment of live firefighting simulation modules/props and procurement of appliances for enrichment of knowledge and skills of students and trainee officers, update syllabus and course contents in tune with standard practices around the world, and many more aspects including administrative and financial matters.
 
The college has started quarterly published ‘e-NFSC Newsletter’ to showcase the activities undertaken by the college from time to time, which was inaugurated by the Director General appreciating the initiations and efforts of the college. He also directed to organise a meeting of ‘Standing Fire Advisory Committee’ in NFSC to discuss and recommend major issues related to Fire Services in India by inviting all the chiefs of States’, and UTs’ Fire Services.
