JMC gives gift of water supply to localities of Nayagaon, Amkhera

The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has provided a big gift to the citizens living in 14 localities of Nayagaon and Amkhera area. Fulfilling the long pending demand of citizens, the Water Department of the JMC has started water supply from the newly-constructed high capacity water tanks in Nayagaon and Amkhera. Now lakhs of citizens living in both the areas will get clean potable water in the morning and evening. For the same, citizens will have to take new connection.
Kamlesh Shrivastava, Executive Engineer of Water Department informed that 1000 KL capacity overhead tank is constructed in Nayagaon under Amrit Yojana. For water distribution from the overhead tank, pipeline has been laid at Siddhababa Colony, Rewa Colony, Mandwa Basti, Sai Colony, Jogini Nagar, BSUP housing, High Court Society and Brijmohan Nagar. He said water supply has been started from the tank. For testing purpose, taps have been installed in different localities through which waster supply is being done in the morning and evening. He said the residents of abovementioned places can take water connection by following the process through online application.
Executive Engineer Shrivastava said under AMRUT Yojana, a water tank has also been constructed in Amkhera from which water supply has started. For distribution of water from the tank, a new pipeline has been laid in Jagriti Nagar, Amkhera Talab, Chaodhary Mohalla, New Ramnagar, Kotwalia and Purani Basti. But residents of these areas are not applying for new connections. The residents have been appealed to take new connection within 7 days.
