PLAYWELL, one of the older teams affiliated to Vidarbha Bridge Association, polished up their image just that little bit on Sunday at the association’s hall in Shankar Nagar. They succeeded in regaining the top perch once again, an act which the team has done most often.
Competing in 40 deals contest, played across 5 rounds of 8 boards each, Playwell went on to garner 72.39 VP, which fetched them the winners purse. Playwell team comprised S Chhajjed, father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar and Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev.
Bridge Lovers, with a tally of 56.04 VP, finished runners-up. Bridge Lovers consisted of MI Hararwala, AK Nandgawe, Ali Mulla and PN Dixit. Amit Rewatkar was Tournament Director for this brain game.
The perennially popular MBA League, a Bridge Federation of India calendar event, is starting from this week in Vidarbha Bridge Association sports complex. Teams from all over Vidarbha region will compete in this competition for top two positions.
Top two teams will qualify from Vidarbha region to play in MBA tournament to be held at Kensington Club, Nashik on 12th June 11, 12.
