DHARAMPETH Krida Mandal (DKM) and Saraswati Kanya Sangh (SKS) ‘A’ teams recorded easy wins in their respective opening encounters of Khasdar Krida Mahotsav Season 4’s inter-club junior basketball championship that began at NBYS courts in Bajaj Nagar on Tuesday.
With Sneha Khandelwal (8), Rajvi Maldhari (8) and Mihira Dhote (6) playing well, DKM thumped Phoenix 36-5 (14-0, 12-3, 6-0, 4-2). Sakshi Sable scored three points for the losers.
Pratiksha Katare (10), Ruchika Shende (9) and Sneha Rotkar (6) found baskets at will during SKS A’s huge 50-2 (13-0, 13-1, 14-1, 10-0) win over ESKM. In third match of the day, PLSC (Astha Koshda 8) beat ABS (Sharayu Sahare 6) 22-11 (4-4, 6-1, 4-2, 8-4).
At the outset, the event was inaugurated by a host of dignitaries including KKM Chief Convenor former Mayor Sandip Joshi.
