ALL Friends Group and Vidarbha Catholic Association felicitated city’s talented badminton player Nikkita Joseph recently.

Nikkita, a student of Hislop College, has been selected in the School Games Federation of India’s team that will participate in the World School Games at Normandy, France, later this month.

Dr Edgar Mackenzie, Nelson Francis, Prakash Gajbhiye, Rajesh Cross, Mark Hirekhan, Sanjay Francis, Venu Francis, Amit Mone, Akshay Sahare, Prateek Meshram, Prajwal Nandeshwar, William Benedict, Nilesh Chaudhary and John Joseph were present during the felicitation function.

The members wished Nikkita luck for her international competition.

Nikkita will surely feel at home during her France tour as his coach since childhood Chetak Khedikar has been named as team coach for the event.

Khedikar has been appointed by School Games Federation of India in which 70 countries and around 3500 participants are expected to participate in 20 sports disciplines.

Khedikar is a qualified Badminton World Federation (BWF) Level 1 certified coach.
