THE Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) Nagpur Centre recently organised a programme and felicitated Ar Habeeb Khan for his reformative approach and invaluable contribution as the President of Council of Architecture, Dr Ujwala Chakradeo for her appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of SNDT University Mumbai and Ar Lalichan Zacharias, Council Member for the excellent work being done as the Editor of the Journal of IIA. The Nagpur Centre also felicitated its senior members above 75 years of age for their exemplary contribution to the profession of architecture and education. Ar Jitendra Mehta, Junior Vice President IIA was the guest of Honour. Ar Raviraj Sarwate, Chairman IIA Nagpur Centre in his welcome address informed the gathering about the various activities taken up by the centre in the last couple of months along with the future programmes.

 

He informed the gathering that the centres flagship programme ‘Rachana’ exhibition would be held from January 13 to 16, 2023. Ar Sunil Degwekar, Vice Chairman, Ar Aniket Khodwe, Jt Hon Secretary, Ar Neha Jaipuria Shelke, Jt Hon Secretary, Ar Rajesh Kakde, Treasurer, Ar Priyadarshan Nagpurkar, Ar Kapil Kawale, Ar Rahul Dandekar and Ar Husain Karori worked hard to make the programme a success. Few senior members could not attend the programme because of their health problems. Nagpur Centre has decided to felicitate them by visiting their homes. Ar Neha Jaipuria Shelke conducted the programme, while Ar Aniket Khodwe proposed the vote of thanks.
