STAR athletes Shadab Pathan of Track Star Athletics Club and Prajakta Godbole from Namhya Foundation clinched men and women’s 5000 meters races respectively in the athletics meet of Khasdar Krida Mahotsav which got under way at the Divisional Sports Complex on Tuesday.

In men’s category, Pathan clocked 15:02.16 minutes to claim the gold while Nagraj Khursane of Nav Maharashtra Krida Mandal (15:25.65) finished second. In the women’s 5000mtrs, Prajakta clocked 16:09.75 minutes to win gold while Prachi Godbole (Track Star Athletics Club, 19:20.94) finished second. Yamini Thakre of Namhya Foundation (19:44.51) won bronze medal.
