Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel held a ‘Choupal’ at Chhotedongar in Naxal-infested Narayanpur district on Friday. He reached Chhotedongar in Naranpur district from Bijapur district by a chopper. He was accorded a warm welcome by villagers and women. Baghel performed pooja-archana at Devgudi and prayed for peace and prosperity of State. He also discussed with Gayata and Pujaris at Devgudi. He was honoured by Gayati and Pujaris by wearing Swarup Paga.
Baghel heard the grievances of villagers in the Bhent Mulakat programme. He took feedbacks about the welfare schemes of the state government from villagers.
Further, Baghel also made various announcements, including opening of Swami Atmananda English Medium School at Chhotedongar, ITI at Chhotedongar, cash payment to tendu patta collectors, establishment of paddy procurement centres in five villages, upgradation of Badejamri High School to Higher Secondary School, establishment of 50 bedded child hospital at Narayanpur, community hall for Abujhmadiya, Gonjwana, Halba, Marar and Yadav Samaj and Community Health Centre at Chhotedongar.
Baghel also performed bhoomipujan for renovation of 104 Devgudis and 104 Ghotuls. Baghel presented Masahati Khasra to the farmers of Abujhmad at Chhotedongar.
A total of 2,500 farmers received Masahati Khasra in Narayanpur district. The beneficiaries were given measles of 1414.24 hectares. Survey of 18 villages has been completed so far.
Baghel also honoured 12th board exam second topper Tanisha Sahu and 10 board exam sixth ranker Shaili Yadav. Tansiha Sahu secured second rank in 12th board exam and she is a student of Swami Atmananda English Medium School, Narayanpur. Shaili Yadav obtained 97.5 per cent marks in 10th board exam. Baghel also honoured the winners of Mallakhamb National Championship. 12-year-old Rakesh of Madia tribe has won the national championship, whose name will be registered in India Book of World Records.
The Chief Minister has directed the Collector to complete the nomination process in the Guinness Book of World Records. Industry Minister Kawasi Lakhma, MP Deepak Baij, MLA Chandan Kashyap, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Superintendent of Police Sadanand Kumar, Jila Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Devesh Dhruv, Divisional Forest Officer Theja Shekhar, other public representatives and officers were present. Later, Baghel left Chhotedongar for Mardapal, Kondagaon district.
