CM to release first installment of PMAY Plus on May 28

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will issue letters of approval and first installment amount of Awas Plus under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) to 5 lakh beneficiaries on May 28. Chief Minister Chouhan will also hold talks with the beneficiaries of different districts of the state through video conferencing.
The state-level programme will be held in Bhopal from 1 pm, from where Chief Minister Chouhan will virtually connect with all the district, Janpad and Gram panchayats of the state. The programme will start there at 12 noon. Training will be imparted on the main provisions of the scheme in the programme. People’s representatives who will be present from 12.30 pm to 1 pm and from 1 pm will address the programme and be connected to the main program of Bhopal.
After completion of the main programme of Bhopal, all the rural and public representatives will go to the approved housing sites of the beneficiaries of Awas Plus in the respective areas and perform bhoomi-pujan and kalash sthapna.
The congratulatory message of Chief Minister Chouhan will also be read in the programmes. Collector will appoint an officer-in-charge for each venue, who will look after all the arrangements. The beneficiary’s Awas approval site will be decorated with rangoli and flowers. Lamps will be lit at the programme site in proportion to the houses sanctioned in the village.
The programme will be telecast live through Doordarshan, regional channels and webcast. To ensure maximum participation of people from the districts of the state, pre-registration and on-spot registration is being done and the registered persons are being informed through SMS on their mobile phones regarding the broadcasting link and the programme. The programme has a target of pre-registration of 2 crore persons.
