In an attempt to ensure more convenience to students and staff, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV) Raipur has started a free bus service in the the university campus.
The free bus service inside the university will be available between the old Agricultural Engineering College and the institute’s administrative building, said the university officials, elaborating that the bus will be operated during the official hour in four rounds.
As per the information received, the bus service was flagged-off on Thursday in the presence of the university’s managing board members Anand Mishra, Bodhram Kanwar, Vallari Chandrakar and Vice Chancellor Dr Girish Chandel. On the occasion, the managing board’s members along with Dr Chandel and senior officials of the institute took the bus ride and took stock of the internal service. Notably, the university campus located close to National Highway-53 is sprawling in an area of over 400 acre in length of around 3 kilometers. The university campus houses agricultural college, agricultural engineering college, food technology college, separate hostels, dispensary, administrative buildings and other offices. The commencement of bus service will largely benefit students as well as the staffers.
