Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan accorded a warm welcome to President Ram Nath Kovind at the airport on his arrival in Bhopal on Friday for three-day visit of Madhya Pradesh. Governor Patel and Chief Minister Chouhan received and greeted President Kovind by presenting a bunch of flowers.
The President’s wife (First Lady) Savita Kovind was also welcomed. Minister-in-waiting appointed to receive the President, Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh, MP Vishnu Dutt Sharma and other public representatives were also present at the airport.
After arrival in Bhopal, the President left for Raj Bhavan. Finance Minister Jagdish Deora, Chief Minister's wife Smt. Sadhna Singh Chouhan, Horticulture and Food Processing Minister Bharat Singh Kushwaha, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, MLA Smt. Krishna Gaur, MLA Vishnu Khatri, MLA Pradeep Patel along with Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Director General of Police Sudhir Kumar Saxena, Commissioner Bhopal Gulshan Bamra, Major General Dheeraj Mohan, Collector Bhopal Avinash Lavania, Police Commissioner Bhopal Makrand Deuskar were also present. Kovind will reach Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Center at 10:50 am. Timings will be reserved at Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre from 10:50 am to 11 am. President Kovind will attend ‘One Nation-One Health System is Need of the Hour” programme from 11 am to 12 pm. he will leave for Raj Bhavan from the venue at 12 noon.
President to visit Lord Mahakaleshwar on May 29: President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Lord Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain on May 29 for darshan and to offer prayers. Development work of Mahakaleshwar temple complex is also going on at a fast pace. As per instructions of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, expansion of this temple complex of religious and cultural importance is being completed by the last week of May. The expansion plan of Lord Mahakaleshwar temple complex of the State Government is taking shape at a fast pace. Area of the temple complex has now increased to 20 hectares. Facilities for visitors are being further expanded at a cost of Rs 310 crore in the first phase of the scheme. A stone wall has been built in a 900 m- long open corridor from the Nandi gate, on which many religious incidents of Shiva Purana have been engraved. In the corridor 108 pillars have been made in the form of Shivaanand Tandava. Rudra Sagar pond has been free from sewerage completely. Also, a total of 128 shops of handicrafts and snacks have been built. The temple premises will be monitored by the modern technology of Command and Control Centre.
Solar systems of 400 kW power generation capacity are also being installed in the campus along with capacity of parking of 400 cars. After Kashi, the Mahakal complex at Ujjain is the second such complex, with modern facilities and underlining of mythological events.
