Cantt police nab murder accused within hrs of incident

Cantonment police have arrested five accused in a case of murder of a boy within hours after the incident was reported, on Monday. The arrested have been identified as Ashish alias Ashu Pillai (22), son of late Ravi Pillai, resident of near Sheela Talkies, Dhobi Mohalla in Cantt, Pappu alias Mithilesh Samad (19), son of Shambhu Samad of near Kawardha House, Cantt, Sahil Sharma (20), son of Shaligram Sharma of Cantt, Pankaj Samad (22), son of Shambhu Samad of Cantt and Shambhu Samad (55), son of Kandi Lal Samad of Cantt.
SHO of Cantt police station, Vijay Tiwari informed that on Sunday night, a woman named Radha Bai Rajput (50), resident of near Sheela Talkies Barrack No-3 lodged a complaint that she was at home when Ashu, Pappu, Pandu and Sahil entered her house and started abusing her son Golu Rajput who was not at home and vandalized television set, refrigerator, home theatre, cooler, showcase and other commodities. Thereafter, the miscreants found her son near Shankar Mandir and attacked him with baseball bats. In the attack, Golu sustained critical injuries on his head, waist, hand and legs. Miscreants threatened her son to life and managed to escape from the spot.
Acting on the complaint, Cantt police registered a case under Sections 294, 323, 324, 452, 427, 506 and 34 of IPC.
Soon after, a boy named Ashish Pillai alias Ashu (22) lodged a complaint that Golu Rajput was abusing him in front of his house over an old rivalry. In the evening, he met Golu near Barrack No-3 and asked him for abusing him when Golu attacked him and threatened him to life. In the attack, he sustained injuries on his nose and hands. Cantt police registered another case under Sections 294, 323 and 506 of IPC. Investigating the case, police learnt that the condition of injured Golu Rajput was deteriorated and he was referred at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital where he succumbed to his grave injuries. Police sent the body for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama and increased Section 302 of IPC on complaint of Radha Rajput. Continuing a rigorous search, police have succeeded in apprehending the five accused while further investigations are underway.
