The dead body of a 7-year-old girl, who was kidnapped on Tuesday night from Veera Lawn in Stationganj police station area of the district, was found buried in a heap of sugarcane in a field. In the case, the police has arrested servant Nokar Baddu Thakur, who was working in the house of the deceased and is a resident of Maharajpur police station, Sagar district. It has come to the fore in the incident that the accused had strangled the girl to death after raping her. Superintendent of Police, Vipul Srivastava said that the girl along with her relatives had come to a relative’s wedding on Tuesday night. Servant Baddu Thakur, who had been working in their house for about two years, also came with them. At night everyone was busy in the wedding programmes when the servant came along with the deceased and his younger brother towards the gate of the lawn. After a while, he took the brother inside and took the girl to a farm located a short distance away from where the heinous incident

took place. Later, he returned to the lawn and told the relatives of the deceased that the girl child was not being found. He also conducted a search with relatives for a while and during this time he disappeared. After the information of the incident, investigation was started by forming 4 teams at night. When the CCTV footage installed in the lawn was seen, the accused was seen taking the girl in it. During interrogation, he told the location of the dead body. The process of autopsy and further investigation is going on in the matter. Police has register case under relevant act and took accused in custody.
