A goods train was derailed near Pipariya at Jabalpur railway track on Sunday afternoon. After the incident, hooters were blown to make people alert.

According to reports, a goods train was coming towards Pipariya Station from Jabalpur. In the meantime, one of the wheels of train was out of order. The incident took place around 12:45 hours. The train was carrying coal from Bankhedi Pipariya. The 59 wagon train departed from Itarsi Station. After this incident, the track was blocked and rail traffic was affected. All the trains on Jabalpur-Itarsi down track were stopped midway to control the traffic. Loco pilot informed about the incident to the control room. RPF staff reached spot from Piparia-Gadarwara. Accident relief team also reached from Itarsi.
