The Berasia Police have arrested two youths, including a yoga instructor, for abducting a 12-year-old girl in a sack, by injecting anaesthesia and for giving her electric shocks.
The police swung into action after a missing person report of the girl was lodged. The accused were arrested and the girl was recovered within 10 hours of the incident. The accused told the cops that they were in debt and to get rid of it, they hatched the conspiracy to repay the loan by selling the girl child.
According to police reports, the 12-year-old girl living in Shanti Kunj is a student of sixth standard. Her mother had gone to the tailor’s shop at around 6 pm on Wednesday.
The girl also started following the mother. Meanwhile, yoga teacher Narmada Prasad Jatav (24), who was standing in front of the house dragged the girl to his house. After this, her hands and feet were tied with a green mat. The mouth was filled with a cloth. After this, the accused called his relative Rajkumar Jatav and both gave the girl an injection of sedation.
After the girl fainted, filling her in a sack, both took the bike to the relative’s house located in Pandit Deendayal Colony, about a kilometre away. Here the girl was locked in the room. After this she was given electric shocks.
After a while both of them locked the room from outside. When the daughter did not come till 7 pm, the family members started searching for her.
At around 9 pm, the police was informed. After this the police also immediately swung into action. Police recovered the girl from Rajkumar Jatav’s house at around 4 am on Thursday.
Woman heard screams of girl, CCTV footage helped cops: SP (Rural) Kiranlatha Kerkatta said that the police inquired about the girl in the area. Meanwhile, a woman living near the house of the main accused Narmada told the cops that the screams of the girl were coming from the teacher’s house. Meanwhile, the police scanned the CCTV footage. In this, both the accused were seen going by bike. Some items were kept in the sack between the two. On the basis of suspicion, the police interrogated Narmada, who said that he had gone to buy vegetables. After rigorous interrogation, he confessed to the crime and told the cops that the girl was at his relative’s house.
Administration demolished the house: After the arrest of the accused, the administration demolished Narmada’s house. It was constructed by encroaching upon Government land.
The accused was keeping an eye on the girl’s movement for two to three days.
On Wednesday, as soon as the girl was seen going alone, the accused dragged her into the house.
