Sprinter Arjun Waskale performing his best in 3000 metre race clinched gold medal in athletics under 4th Khelo India Youth Games on the third and last day at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula (Haryana) on Thursday. Madhya Pradesh Athletics Academy athlete Arjun Waskale representing the state bagged gold medal by creating a record of 8.37.62 minutes. Apart from Waskale another player of the MP Athletics Academy, Shyam Milan Bind succeeded in clinching bronze medal securing third position in 800 metre race in final. He covered 800 metre distance in 1.51.68 minutes. Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Athletics Association A Murlidhar, President Amanat Khan, Treasurer Virendra Singh, Technical Committee President Dr Rajesh Mishra, member (publicity committee) Vishnu Kant Sahai, Ajeet Pal Gill, Sunil Shukla as well as Athletics Federation of India’s vice president Mumtaz Khan have extended their greetings on this achievement.
