Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has directed the Collector and the Superintendent of Police, Janjgir-Champa, for the safe rescue of a boy who fell into a borewell at Pihrid village of Malkharauda Police Station limits in the district at 4 pm on Friday.
Rescue operations were going on till filing this report on Friday. According to the information, 12-year-old boy Rahul was playing in the yard of his house, when he fell into the open borewell. District Collector Jitendra Kumar Shukla, SP Vijay Agrawal,
SDM Rena Jameel and other senior officials were present during the rescue. Food and oxygen is being supplied to the boy trapped in the borewell. The NDRF teams from Cuttack, Odisha and Bilaspur had left for the rescue site. Adequate lighting, barricading and other safety arrangements were made for the rescue of the boy. Health teams also arrived at the rescue site.
