The Gunga police have arrested a youth for raping an 18-year-old school girl by intimidation at her home in Namdapura village of the State capital.
The girl told the police that she was sleeping outside the house. At around 12 o’clock in the night, her boyfriend, a resident of a neighbouring village, reached home. He dragged her and locked her in the room and raped her. Meanwhile, the mother reached after hearing the girl’s screams.
The accused fled on seeing the mother. Police have arrested him.
According to police reports, an 18-year-old complainant living in Namdapura village is a school girl. She goes to the nearby village of Kalara to study. In the meantime, she became friend with Bhupendra alias Rahul Sharma, a resident of the village. Both started meeting each other. The girl’s family came to know about this. On this she got her studies terminated. The girl student told the police that on the night of June 7, she was sleeping outside the house. At around 12 o’clock in the night, Rahul reached her house. He grabbed the girl by the hand and dragged her to the room. After that he raped her. Then the girl’s mother sleeping near the room heard the daughter’s voice.
When she looked into the gap between the doors, she found Rahul in an objectionable condition with her daughter. The mother made a noise and separated the girl from him and the accused fled as he got a chance. The girl came to the police station the next day and filed a rape case against the accused. Raped three to four times in a month: The girl told that Bhupendra had raped her three or four times within a month. The accused used to threaten to kill her. So the girl remained silent. On June 7, the accused committed wrongdoing with the girl by threatening her again. The accused is unemployed and his family does farming.
