Raipur,
BJP National Vice-President and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh on Tuesday said that the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of paddy was Rs 1,360 per quintal in 2014 and now it is Rs 2040 which means Rs 680 has been increased in the last 8 years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi deserves the credit for this, said Dr Singh.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel says he will give Rs 2,640 MSP for paddy. If Bhupesh Baghel’s tenure is compared, only Rs 280 per quintal has been increased. Bhupesh Baghel should give Rs 2,790 MSP per quintal to the farmer as Rs 280 is automatically included in the MSP hiked by the Central government. Praying for the safe rescue of Rahul Sahu from borewell in Janjgir-Champa, Dr Singh said the entire nation is eager to hear the wellbeing of Rahul Sahu. Talking to media persons, Dr Singh said that Chhattisgarh government has been at the service of Gandhi family in its 3.9 years tenure. Chhattisgarh has been used as ATM for funding the Congress party in elections held in different states during the last 3 years. Congress was voted to power with sweeping majority. Instead of serving the people, Bhupesh Baghel is serving Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi whose sentiments towards Chhattisgarh was exposed in the Rajya Sabha elections. Outsiders were imposed on Chhattisgarh people in Rajya Sabha, said Dr Singh. Taking a dig at Bhupesh Baghel, Dr Singh said that wherever Bhupesh goes he drowns Congress. Today the most discussed issue is the menace of mafia. Dr Singh compared the menace of coal mafia with Dhanbad. Dr Singh even compared the coal mafia issue with KGF movie. Coal mafias are being shielded by the state government and Congress, alleged Dr Singh. This Chhattisgarh government is following the footstep of West Bengal where dictatorship has reached its peak. On Congress government allegation against centre on fertiliser issue, Dr Singh said that fertilisers are available in open market but not in societies. The state government is encouraging corruption and black-marketing and misleading people by accusing Centre of short supply of fertilisers, said Dr Singh. On the grilling of Rahul Gandhi by ED, Dr Singh said that Congress is trying to save Gandhi family which is involved in Rs 2000 crore money laundering in National Herald case by creating pressure through demonstration. Dr Singh also took a dig at Baghel government for its double standards on demonstration and said that the Chief Minister can reach Delhi for demonstration and here in Chhattisgarh FIR being filed against those raising their voice against the government. People from across the state are coming to Raipur with their problems and staging protest demonstration and they are being welcomed with sticks, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, surprisingly, is visiting Assembly constituencies to know problems, said Dr Singh. Dr Singh said that the Centre has stopped Rs 182 crore of Chhattisgarh under nutrition campaign as the state government failed to give the accounts of the funds allotted by the Centre under the scheme. Dr Singh said that crime is being committed under the protection of Collector and SP in Chhattisgarh in the Congress rule, he alleged.
