There is good news for the institutions imparting technical education as 6,89,496 students registered for Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) for the admissions to degree engineering courses. This number is more by over 1.5 lakh than the number of students registered last year. Considering good number of students appearing in CET, the seat vacancy in colleges is likely to reduce.
Meanwhile, MHT-CET 2022 exam dates have been revised by MHT-CET Cell. Earlier, the examinations were to be held in July. Now, the tests will be conducted from first week of August to August 20. Between August 5 to 11, tests for Engineering (PCM) group will be held. The new dates for test for Pharmacy (PCB ) group, are August 12 to 20. Students will get the Admit card in the first week of August. MHT CET form correction facility is likely to begin anytime soon.
MHT CET 2022 will have three papers, Paper 1 of Mathematics, Paper 2 of Physics and Chemistry combined and Paper 3 of Biology. PCM Group candidates will appear in Paper 1 and 2 while those applying for Pharmacy courses (PCB Group) need to appear in Paper 2 and 3.
MHT CET 2022 syllabus has been released by the CET Cell and consists of classes 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology topics. The 20% weightage has been given to class 11 topics while 80% weightage is for class 12 topics.
