Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is being questioned at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office for the third consecutive day in the National Herald case. To protest the same, Congress will hold demonstrations against this action of ED. Madhya Pradesh Congress Media President K K Mishra said that the Delhi Police had entered the AICC office and assaulted the Congressmen and journalists. In a protest, Raj Bhavan will be gheraoed on Thursday and demonstrations will be held at district headquarters on Friday.
In this matter, the statement of former MP Digvijay Singh came to the fore. He said, “For the first time such an incident is happening in the country, where the police are entering the office of a major political party and beating up the workers. Journalists are also being treated the same way. This is evidence of the coming fascist system.”
Democratic rights attacked: Nath: MP Congress President and former CM Kamal Nath said “Police and paramilitary forces entered the headquarters of All India Congress Committee in Delhi Wednesday. They misbehaved with the leaders and journalists present there. The leaders who went in support of Rahul Gandhi
were taken into custody by the police at home. The manner in which this action was taken is an attack on democratic rights to suppress the voice of the people. Even today, opposing every oppression, we will do satyagraha to strengthen democracy in the country and will fight this battle for the people.”
The Government is forcing us to go on the path of violence, says Mishra: KK Mishra added that this is the first time in independent India that such a repressive policy is being adopted by the BJP government. Protests will be held across the country against this. “At the same time, we are ready to fight the kind of battle the government wants to fight. The Government is forcing us to go on the path of violence. Mishra said that notice has been given to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju by Congress’s Rajya Sabha MP and Supreme Court lawyer Vivek Tankha for this unethical conduct of the BJP government.”
