Months after receiving complaints against a city based builder indulged in illegal plotting for developing illegal colony in over 50 acres of land situated near bypass road, a joint team from the District Administration on Wednesday morning initiated against the builder and bulldozed the illegally constructed boundary wall, entrance gate and roads.
The actions were initiated by the joint team of Revenue Department, Town and Country Planning Department and Durg Municipal Corporation (DMC) and the builder Manoj Rajput is reportedly associated with a political party.
Tahsildar and Durg Municipal Corporation Commissioner Haresh Mandavi accompanied by police personnel were present during the actions.
Reliable sources informed that the authorities were receiving complaints of illegal plotting against Manoj Rajput Layout and Developers for a long time.
Acting on the complaint, the DMC had even served notice to the builder thrice but the notices were allegedly ignored by him.
Meanwhile, on Collector Dr S N Bhure’s directives, a joint team was constituted and its members reached the illegally developed colony on Wednesday morning.
After reaching the spot, the team immediately swung into action and started demolishing the illegally constructed entrance gate, boundary walls and roads. More than three JCB vehicles were used to demolish the illegally constructed structures. Sources said that the team constituted on the directives of the Collector had made strategy to take actions a gainst the illegal plotting on Tuesday itself. As per the instructions of the senior officers, the Building Officer from the DMC Prakash Chand Thavani, Anti Encroachment In-charge, Town and Country Planning officials and Revenue officials had made necessary preparations for taking legal actions. Meanwhile Station House Officers of Durg Kotwali and Mohan Nagar Police Station besides other police personnel including women police personnel were also present during the actions. Commissioner Mandavi said that the builder was earlier served notices thrice but he had failed to respond.
