The names of at least 18 private hospitals, including those in the State capital, which fraudulently snatched money from the Government, would be taken out of the Ayushman Bharat Niramayam Scheme. Fines will also be imposed against them and if more allegations are proved in the investigation, then they may be shut down forever.
It is alleged that these hospitals have received payment of crores of rupees from the Government in the name of patients getting treated under Ayushman Bharat Niramaya Yojana. This has come to the fore in the preliminary investigation of the documents seized in the raid on Tuesday. The number of such hospitals may increase once the investigation is completed. Notably, a joint team of officials of State Health Council Ayushman Bharat Niramaya Yojana and Directorate of Health had conducted guerrilla action against more than 40 hospitals on Tuesday. In which the documents were seized. This investigation will go on. Officials say that the evidence is being collected by talking to the patients in whose name the money was grabbed.
These serious complaints received in 18 hospitals Extra amount was charged from those who had the Ayushman cards. Later, the hospital took the same amount from the Government by producing a reimbursement bill. Under the scheme, the operations which were to be done only in Government hospitals,
those operations were also done at private hospitals and the amount was collected from the Government.
Patients who could have been admitted in the general ward were forcibly admitted to the ICU and HDU wards and arbitrary bills were imposed upon them.
The bills of the patients who were admitted were to be levied under the package marked in the scheme, which was put in the package with a higher amount.
Patients who did not need to be admitted were also admitted and treated.
These hospitals were raided: Lotus Hospital, Mount, Navjeevan, Anantashree, Aradhana Maternity and Kidney, Mona, Ayush, Nagpur, Neuron Trauma Center Multi Speciality, Alexis, Hope SS and Research Centre, Trinity, Lakshmi Multi Speciality, LBS, Multi Care, Bhopal Care, Goodwill, Silver Line, Medilife, Sri Sai, Vidhata Multi Speciality, Apex, Ayushman Bharat, Guru Ashish, PBGM and Research Centre, Ayushman Hitech, Sahaj, Ayushman Hospital Bhopal, RR, Lakecity Institute of Surgical Science, Navodaya Cancer, Navodaya Hospital and Research Center , Bhopal Multi Speciality, Rajdeep, Kishnani, Rajabhoj and Future Multi Speciality Hospital were raided.
The hospitals which are to be excluded from the Ayushman Scheme: Disturbances have been found in 18 hospitals including Navjeevan, Apex, Lotus, Ayushman, Anantashree, Ayushman Bharat and Bhopal Care. Action will be taken to exclude them from Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
