A speeding car rammed into the boundary wall of the State CCTV Control Room and after breaking the wall, it entered the premises in the early hours of Thursday. The reckless speeding of drivers of four-wheelers has increased accidents in the State capital and the police have also not made special arrangements to keep a check on speed of vehicles. At around 4:15 am on Thursday, a speeding car was approaching from Bhadbhada Bridge towards New Market and suddenly the car driver lost control of the vehicle. The speed of the car can be gauged from the fact that even a wall made of thick stones and concrete could not stop it. The front part of the car was badly damaged in this accident. Fortunately, the airbags of the car were opened as soon as the collision took place, due to which the driver survived. After the accident, the driver fled leaving the vehicle on the spot. On receiving information about the incident, Kamla Nagar police personnel reached the spot and seized the car and brought it to the police station.
The car driver is being identified by the number of the car. Police officials say that so far no one has reached the police station to complain or claim the car. After the complaint, investigation will be started in the whole matter. According to Kamla Nagar Police Station, there is a lot of movement of vehicles between Bhadbhada to Jawahar Chowk during the night. Sometimes people drive at high speed due to the road being deserted. It is likely that a car driver must have been driving there at a very high speed and must have lost control due to some reason and rammed into the wall. A big accident happened here. After the incident, senior officers of the Radio Control Room also reached the spot and they inspected the spot and took information from the police. Officials say that at the earliest, a complaint will be lodged in the police station after finding the person concerned in this matter.
