“NOTHING is impossible. If we are determined and focused in life then we can achieve anything,” feels Ashwini Pathe, SSC topper in Vidarbha in Divyang category. Ashwini scored 79.80 per cent marks in Class X. She came to know from her teachers that she has topped in Vidarbha. Ashwini has never considered her visual impairment as a setback.
“I feel if one has faith in oneself, then nothing can be an impediment,” says the topper.
Ashwini, a student of Kurvey’s New Model High School, Shraddhanandpeth, did face some difficulties during online classes but her teachers helped her by providing audio recordings.
Talking about the support and inspiration that she has been getting from her grandparents, Ashwini says, “They are so protective and supportive. They always boost my morale and encourage me to study well and become independent in life.”
When asked whom she idolises the most in life, Ashwini says, “Every individual is unique and has a special quality. There is so much to learn from everyone.” Ashwini loves to teach so she wants to pursue career in teaching.
“I always wanted to score good and now the result has definitely boosted my confidence. I feel so positive that I can do so much more in life,” says Ashwini. During the time she gets for herself, she loves to read story books and play chess.
She attributes her success to her amazing teachers who have always helped her realise her caliber.
“Some people do look down upon us and feel that Divyangs cannot do anything in life and there are people who feel that we, Divyangs, are gifted in life. I want to pursue higher studies and become a teacher and change many more lives with the most powerful weapon, that is, education,” Ashwini says confidently.
