Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the Centre after the Central Government announced the Agnipath Scheme in the name of employment generation in Indian Army.
Talking to mediapersons in State Capital on Friday, CM Baghel said that the Centre had not organised any Army recruitment rally in two years and because of it, the youths of the country were deprived of getting recruited to
Indian Army.
“Under the Agnipath Scheme, youths will get recruited for four years only. Army’s training is for safety while police training is for maintaining law and order. It will be difficult to adjust all these trained youths in state police. After getting training, the youths may opt the path of violence that may pay a cost in future when they will lose
their job. I think that it seems that the Central government’s intention is not good,” pointed Baghel. Baghel said that the monsoon is just to arrive in the state and the central government has not supplied sufficient chemical fertilisers to the state so far. The Central Government has curtailed 30 to 40 per cent supply of petrol and diesel to the state that will badly affect agriculture work, he added. Baghel said that the chit-fund companies had looted the money of investors during the 15 years rule of Dr Raman Singh ledBJP government
