Of the three labourers who got trapped under the debris of a house that suddenly collapsed in Shahpura area, two were immediately evacuated, while one labourer died on Wednesday evening in Bhopal.After receiving information about the incident, officials of the administration including Police Commissioner Makrand Deuskar reached the spot. It was learnt that this house belongs to ADG Rajesh Chawla. He recently bought this house. The house was being re-constructed.
The demolition was going on for the re-construction of Shahpura A-Sector house number-108. The labourers were razing it down with the help of a hammer. Meanwhile, the house suddenly collapsed and three labourers working fell down in the debris. Bhopal Municipal Commissioner, KVS Chaudhary Kolsani said that six labourers were working at the time of the incident. Three labourers were buried under the rubble. Two of them were immediately taken out. Police say that Ram Vilas Kahar (65) has died. Two JCBs were engaged in clearing the debris on the spot.
After the incident, other leaders including MLA PC Sharma also reached.
Gurudayal, a labourer who came out of the rubble, said that they were demolishing the house with the help of a hammer. The work was about to end in the evening. He had reached the roof with the tools. Meanwhile, suddenly the house collapsed. He fell down too and hid himself under the ladder to escape and because of this he survived.
