In all 1,92,000 candidates had registered for the ongoing annual examinations of Hemchand Yadav University (HYU) Durg.

Out of these, 1,75,000 candidates who appeared in the regular, autonomous and private exams of BA, B Com and BSc and MA, M Com, MScprivate and regular examinations have submitted their answer sheets.

While more than 17,000 candidates have not submitted the answer sheets till date. At the same time, 2,591 candidates who have submitted the answer sheet have written their subject’s code wrong. Due to this, the results of more than 19,000 candidates are to be withheld by the university.

It may be noted that this time for online exam the university allowed downloading the question papers from 7 am, write answers from 8 am to 11 am and submit the answer sheets to the examination centers from 12 pm to 3 pm.

In view of various problems faced by the students, in reaching the examination centre after 3 pm, arrangements were made to collect the answer sheets of all the examinees by late evening also. Even after this, 17,000 examinees did not submit the answer sheets.

While on the other hand 3,988 candidates of undergraduate level including B A,

B Com, B Sc, BCA and Psychology have not appeared in the practical examination. Now these students are pressurizing the university that they should be allowed to appear in the examination in the centre where the practical examination has not been conducted yet, so that their year is not wasted. Looking at the numbers, the university is also preparing to take a separate practical exam for them. It needs a mention here that the university accepted applications for the examination till February. During this, the applications of some candidates were filled by their brother or sister, while in few cases candidates went to the cyber cafe and filled the examination form where the operator sitting mentioned their subject codes wrongly. As such the same subject code is mentioned in the admit card, but the examinees are giving the paper of their chosen subjects. The number of such examinees is 2591 as such their results will also be withheld by the university.
