State President of Bharatiya Janata Party and MP Vishnudutt Sharma while talking to the media said that Bharatiya Janata Party is in favour of criminal-free and clean politics. The party leadership has decided that we will go on zero tolerance so that people of criminal background do not come in this election. The party has taken cognizance of the candidates whose criminal records have come before the Appeal Committee constituted for the local elections.
BJP media incharge Lokendra Parashar said that party has changed three candidates of councillor’s post in the State capital. BJP withdrew the ticket in view of the criminal record of Ward no 44 candidate Bhupendra Singh Chauhan (Pinky Bhadauria). At the same time, the ticket of candidate Masarrat Mastan from Ward 40 has also been withdrawn. She is the wife of Babu Mastan. VD Sharma said that party has decided that people of criminal nature who are involved in serious cases will not be given tickets. Tickets of two such candidates have been withdrawn on Monday. The ticket of 40 Masarrat Babu Mastan has also been withdrawn. These decisions have been taken after considering the Appeal Committee. Earlier, Babulal Yadav was given ticket while changing in Ward-49.
