RAIPUR,
Raipur MP Sunil Kumar Soni on Monday dispelled the rumors spread by opposition parties over Agnipath Scheme in a press conference. Soni accused Congress party of misleading the youths regarding Agnipath scheme.
Calling the action of Congress as condemnable, Soni said Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central Government will raise the Army of youths in the nation. Congress Government remained in powers for decades, but it couldn’t bring patriotism and discipline
in youths. Soni terms Agnipath as an ambitious scheme, under which youths will get chance to part of the Army. Youths aged 17.6 years to 21 years will get chance to apply and 2 year relaxation has been given owing to Covid.
So, youths aged 23 years can also apply. Each youth selected in the Army will get from Rs 4.67 lakhs to Rs 6.92 lakh along with many other facilities and allowances along with insurance of Rs 48 lakhs. The money received at the end of service i.e. Rs 11.71 lakhs will be tax free. At least 25 per cent of the trained youths will get chance to be a full time army personnel and those who wouldn’t get the chance will get a lump sum Rs 11 lakh besides Rs 3 to 4 lakhs earned during the service period of 4 years. These experienced and trained Agniveers will be preferred in other jobs. The 10th pass Agniveers will get class-12th certificates after completion of service. Prime Minister wants to hand over the reign of nation to youths and congress wants to mislead them, Soni said.
