Jail and Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra performed Yoga with prisoners at the Central Jail in Bhopal on International Yoga Day. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making Yoga a part of Indian culture at the global level. Minister Dr Mishra congratulated and extended best wishes to everyone on International Yoga Day. He said that yoga is the art of living a better life.
Minister Dr Mishra performed Yoga with Director General of Jail Arvind Kumar, Additional Director General of Police ADG Ashok Awasthi, District and Sessions Judge SPS Bundela, DIG Jail Sanjay Pandey and M R Patel, Additional Superintendent of Police Arvind Dubey, Jail Superintendent Dinesh Nargave along with about 150 prisoners at the Sanskritik Bhavan of Bhopal Central Jail.
Around 4000 prisoners performed yoga at different places in Central Jail Bhopal on International Yoga Day. Minister Dr Mishra along along with all those present listened on-screen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message on International Yoga Day.
Minister Dr Mishra said, “on the call of Prime Minister Modi, we have to popularise Yoga on a large scale.” He said that yoga is not just a part of our lives but has become a way of life. Yoga not only keeps us healthy, but also teaches us the art of living a better life.
