Rashtra Sevika Samiti head Shantakka on Tuesday lauded the efforts of Central Government for announcing Agnipath scheme and also advised protesting youth to show their ‘josh’ in the recruitment drive.
“Central Government is planning the scheme from last many years with lot of research and those who are raising voice against it should get full details about the scheme and then show their protest,” said Shanthakka.
Shantakka was delivering speech before hundreds of volunteers of Rashtra Sevika Samiti during the concluding programme of Pravin Shiksha Varga at Reshimbagh on Tuesday.
Agnipath scheme is a best way of creating patriotism among youth and instead of protesting, they should participate and play their role in nation building, she added.
Mentioning about Israel, Rashtra Sevika Samiti chief said, “Israel is the country where every citizen have to serve as a soldier once in his or her life. It is a way of showing their patriotism towards their country and the same thing our government is also trying to provide a chance to Indian youth.”
Swami Vivekananda always emphasised on discipline and service to the society. Indian army is also imbibe discipline and service in its soldiers. Instead of damaging public property, the youth should work for the society and for the nation by serving in armed forces, said Shantakka.
Priya Sawant, Motivational Speaker was the chief guest of the programme. Sawant talked about women empowerment and contribution of women in the society.
“Rashtra Sevika Samiti is an example of ‘Nari Shakti’ and its contribution in nation building is appreciable,” said Sawant.
Sawant urged the Sevikas of Rashtra Sevika Samiti to spread the knowledge and skill which they got from these Pravin Shiksha Varga to others in the country.
Sandhya Tipre gave the introductory remarks and also informed the august gathering about the 15-day workshop. Pramiltai Medhe, former Pramukh Sanchalika was also present as guest.
Sevikas of Rashtra Sevika Samiti demonstrated self defence techniques and fighting skills during the event. They also demonstrated yoga to mark International Yoga Day.
