The Shahpura Police have registered a rape case against a man who kept a 46-year-old woman in live-in relation for ten months on the pretext of getting her job and has now absconded as soon as his project was over. The woman filed a case against the accused paramour in Seoni on zero in more than 7 sections including rape. The Shahpura police registered a case late on Wednesday night after the case diary was forwarded here.

ASI Bharose, who is investigating the case, told ‘The Hitavada’ that the 46-year-old survivor is a native of Seoni. She had come to Bhopal in connection with work in 2021 and found a job in a project in Shahpura. During the work, she became friends with supervisor Dharmendra Chandravanshi. Dharmendra, by luring her with a job, asked her to move in and in July 2021, he forcibly raped the woman. After this, he kept raping her till June 15, 2022. Dharmendra fled as soon as the work was over. After the incident, the woman searched for the accused a lot, but he could not be found. The woman reached Seoni and lodged a case on zero there. Seoni police handed over the case diary to Shahpura police on Wednesday. At present, the FIR has been registered only on the basis of the case diary. The

statement of the woman has not been made. The matter will be known only after taking the statement of the woman. The accused is said to be a resident of Pipariya in Hoshangabad. After the woman’s statement, the accused will be searched. The accused assaulted her by taking her hostage: The woman has complained in the FIR that the accused took her hostage in the room and assaulted her. The accused kept on forcibly having a relationship with her. After registering this FIR, the police called the woman to record her statement. After that the accused can be arrested after a fresh investigation in the whole case.
