CM Baghel unveils 88 devpt works worth Rs 109 crore

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel laid foundation stone for 47 development works worth Rs 31.45 crore and dedicated 41 development works with Rs 77.69 crore at Kanker on Sunday.
Chief Minister Baghel performed bhoomipujan of 12 works of Public Health Engineering Department worth Rs 5.80 crore, 4 works of Water Resources Department worth Rs 11.65 lakh, eight works of Education Department worth Rs 1.75 lakh, 1 work of Women and Child Development Department worth Rs 45 lakh, 3 works of Public Works Department worth Rs 8 crores 71 lakh, 18 works of District Mineral Trust Institute, Directorate of Public Instruction worth Rs 1 crore 46 lakh and other departments.
Besides, the Chief Minister inaugurated 2 works of Water Resources Department worth Rs 4 crore 53 lakh, 2 works of Public Works
Department worth about Rs 11 crore 22 lakhs, 18 works of Public Works Department worth Rs 22 crores 49 lakhs, 21 works of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana worth Rs 39 crore 5 lakh, one work for Rural Mechanical Service worth Rs 14 lakh and one work worth Rs 25 lakh for Health Department. In-charge Minister Anila Bhendia, Parliamentary Secretary Shishupal Sori, Antagarh MLA Anoop Nag, Parliamentary Advisor to Chief Minister Rajesh Tiwari, Jila Panchayat President Hemant Dhruw, Kanker Collector Chandan Kumar, other officers and public representatives were present in the programme. Chief Minister Baghel held a review meeting with officers at Kanker district headquarters. Baghel took information from the officials concerned about the ongoing works under the Water Resources Department and Narva programme. Baghel gave necessary instructions to the officers regarding the Narva Development work in Korar and Phase One of Charma area. He also reviewed the rise in water level based on the survey of forest, revenue and water resources. Chief Minister interacted with people in Badal village of Kanker assembly constituency. He inspected the Anganwadi centre and inquired about the status of schemes being provided to the mothers and children. The Chief Minister also inspected Gothan of Badal village and asked to take a step ahead towards environmental protection by planting cashew trees. Chief Minister Baghel offered prayers at the historic Shiv temple located at Badal village and wished for the prosperity and wellbeing of the people of the region, state and country. After reaching the venue, the Chief Minister first worshiped ‘Chhattisgarh Mahtari’ (Mother) and then commenced his public interaction drive taking feedback about the government schemes from the local people. He made various announcements including installation of 33 KV power sub-station at Dumarpani, construction of bridge on Saranda Salhebhat-Sarona route, construction of new bridge over Surahi river, construction of godown and office at Badal, construction of one kilometer CC road from Main Road Badal to Panchayat Bhawan, establishment of police station at Sarona, establishment of District Cooperative Bank branch at Amoda, inclusion of Dumarpani and Saimunda villages in Dudhava Samuh Yojana and other villages.
