“Islam gives message of peace and harmony and its followers must work under Shariyat. Community persons should follow the messages of Islam for improving their lifestyle and contribution to development of the nation” says Mufti-E-Azam Madhya Pradesh Hazrat Maulana Muhammed Hamid Ahmed Siddiqui while addressing a mammoth gathering of community persons after offering Namaz of Eid-Ul-Adha at Ranital Eidgah, on Sunday.

Addressing the gathering, Mufti-E-Azam Madhya Pradesh emphasized over avoiding unnecessary expenditures for improving financial status of families.

Maulana Muhammed Hamid Ahmed Siddiqui applauded the spirit of communal harmony in Jabalpur and extended Eid-ul-Adha festival greetings to the residents. He also expressed gratitude towards district administration, police department, Jabalpur Municipal Corporation and electricity department for maintaining sufficient arrangements prior to the festival for convenience of community persons.

Earlier, the pious festival of great sacrifice Eid-ul-Adha observed with full traditional and religious fervour in the city in peaceful atmosphere. Mammoth gathering of members of Muslim community offered Eid-Ki-Namaaz at Eidgah Kalan Ranital.

Collector, Dr Ilayaraja T, Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna, MLA, Vinay Saxena and a large number of other senior public representatives met Mufti-E-Azam Madhya Pradesh and extended greetings of Eid-Ul-Adha. Right from the morning hours the Namajis started assembling and in long queues seated accorded to arrangement at Eidgah Kalan Ranital. To participate in the mass prayer a large number of devotees reached the city from adjoining districts and rural areas of the district. Along with a grand worship programme at Idgah Kalan Ranital, a large number of members of Muslim community offered Eid-Ki-Namaaz at Eidgah Gohalpur, Eidgah Sadar Bazaar, Garha, Shiya Jama Masjid, Momin Eidgaha Gohalpur, Sadar and Garha Eidgah the members of Muslim community participated in the group prayer and offered Namaz of Eid. On the pious occasion the District Administration made extensive arrangement of security and vigilance to maintain peace, law and order.
