PLAYWELL, reminding all of what it means to win using guerrilla tactics in warfare, somehow succeeded in grabbing opportunities ams from Vidarbha region, Playwell seized the top spot by scoring 63.74 VP. Their performance came from teamwork displayed by S Chhajjed, father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar and Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev. Team Axis finished runners-up with a tally of 42.87 VP. Their team consisted of Kusum Bhave, AG Karandikar and Mulla brothers Sajid and Ali.
In 24 deals MP pairs event played on Saturday, Rewatkars once again proved their supremacy by emerging winners with a score of 56 MP. S Watwe and V Daga finished runners-up with 54.50 MP.
Bridge buffs can look forward for competing in a two-day sponsored event in coming week. Details of the same will be revealed over the week assured Amit on behalf of the association.
LIC bridge from 16th Vidarbha Bridge Association will be conducting LIC Annual Open Bridge Tournament at it’s sports complex on July 16 and 17. The tournament will witness bridge players from all over Vidarbha region competing in pairs and duplicate event. The pairs event will be held on Saturday at 6:30 pm, after inaugural ceremony.
Pranay Kumar, Sr Divisional Manager will be the chief guest.
Duplicate event will be held on Sunday at 12:30 pm. Attractive cash prizes will be awarded to all the winners.
