Lieutenant General R K S Kushwaha, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM), Director General of Ordnance Services and Senior Colonel Commandant of Army Ordnance Corps visited the College of Materials Management on July 13 to 14. The General Officer paid tribute to the martyrs by laying wreath at the Kangla Tongbi War Memorial, located in the College premises.
The General Officer was briefed on the giant strides and technological advancements the college has undertaken in imparting training to trainees, including those from friendly foreign countries like Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and others. The General Officer evinced keen interest on the training being imparted for the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) processes in the Army Ordnance Corps, which will be a game changer for future logistics and materials management of the Indian Army. The General Officer also addressed all ranks and complimented College of Materials Management (CMM) on its high standards for imparting training and maintaining state of the art technical and administration infrastructure and support. He further exhorted all ranks to stay focussed and adopt creativity, innovative techniques and best practices in furtherance of its training charter as we march to lead the supply chain and materials management role of the Indian Army. He envisaged the Army Ordnance Corps spearheading the Indian Army digital initiatives on the shoulders of its capable logisticians for the near future.
