SAUNSAR,
Saunsar has received maximum rainfall in Madhya Pradesh and it is still raining. Due to this unabated rainfall, crops like cotton are on the verge of ruining. The farming on the banks and slopes of the river has been completely ruined. The District Administration should arrange a special package for Saunsar.
The application of farmers should be considered. Patwari should be sent for verification.
The Saunsar area is at the lowest level in the district. Therefore, rivers flow from all sides to this area. This year heavy rains spoiled all the roads. The life-saving Kanhan river, which flows upstream, showed its fierce form from the very important Lodhikheda. The Rangari pool of the road leading to the Bichhia has been completely destroyed. Due to this the connectivity of 40 villages has been cut off.
The situation at Gahranallah near Ramakona is not hidden from anyone. The Collector, SP, has been photographed two days ago. He stops the Nagpur Chhindwara road for three to four hours every day.
The alternative route, Devi-Jakhwadi road which connects Saunsar block with Bichhua development block has been completely closed due to flood of Devnadi due to all three pool sisters. Neither the contractor nor the concerned department is taking the responsibility of substandard construction. Due to the construction of Mohgaon
reservoir, Nandewani and further Ambada road has been completely closed. It is not built by Water Resources Department via Mohgaon, Moongnapar. The responsibility needs to be fixed.
The Ambada Raibasa road via Saunsar to Marham has been completely destroyed near Jobandera due to the floods of the drain. Vehicles are still commuting. There may be a major accident. There the river took away all the fields and a part of the pool.
Due to excessive rainfall in Dukarjhala, agriculture has suffered a lot. Wells have sunk. The villagers have also submitted a memorandum to the administration.
The culvert from Nandepur to Gajandoh, Dukarjhela has been completely damaged.
Show some sensitivity: MLA Ajay Choure urges admn ‘I am requesting the administration to have some sensitivity. Take stock of the damage that has been done. Take care that there is no further loss of life in the pools that have been washed away. Dams have been built on all the rivers. The release of water causes direct damage to the Saunsar. Rivers like Ambaghat, Sarpa, Junnardev to Kanhan, Bichhua to Devnadi, Shobhana, besides Sylvani to Gahranallah etc. rivers flow. It is the responsibility of the administration to inform everyone while releasing the water where the dam is built. It is biggest negligence on part of the Water Resources Department also. This is the situation of the Public Works Department. That is where the girls were washed away by near the culvert in Sitapar. To remove the big trees stuck in the pipe from the JCB, the SDO, Jameel Sahab, he conveyed to send JCB but as it was Saturday, Sunday holiday and he did not send it. Till Monday, when the five girls were drowning, no one could reach there. The newly elected Sarpanch of Dhokdoh, Sandeep Bahatkar himself took the JCB alone and started the work as the road was closed for seven days. But even after the deaths, neither the SDO or any of his men reached there. How insensitive is an officer. There has been destruction in the entire field, the administration should pay attention soon.’, said Ajay Choure, Former MLA, Saunsar.
