The BJP members celebrated the victory of NDA Presidential candidate, Draupadi Murmu. Party leaders and workers distributed sweets to citizens during a programme organised at Malgodown, on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion senior party leaders said it is a matter of great pride that Murmu has been elected with a huge majority as the President on the biggest constitutional post of the world’s largest democracy.

Expressing views on the occasion, Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and all the constituent parties of NDA made a civilised, polite, cultured and ordinary woman a candidate from the tribal for the post of President. She has discharged every responsibility well with her work capacity and we have full faith that after becoming the President, now Murmu will discharge the duties on the biggest post of the country in the same way.

Singh said that the BJP workers and especially the women, expressing their happiness and extended best wishes to Murmu. They also expressed their gratitude to the Prime Minister and the national leadership.

Earlier, BJP leaders garlanded the Raja Shankarshah and Kunwar Raghunath Shah with party workers and distribution of sweets, burst fireworks.

Those present include G S Thakur, Ashish Dubey, MLA Ashok Rohani, Sharad Jain, Amar Mishra, Ashwani Paranjpe, Santoshi Thakur, Yogendra Singh Thakur and others.
