Collector discusses beautification of Hanumantal pond

Collector Dr Ilaiyaraja T along with senior officials inspected Hanumantal pond, on Sunday. He not only discussed with officials the action plan prepared for beautification of the ancient and historical pond, but also instructed to start its implementation at the earliest. Municipal Commissioner Ashish Vashisht and Additional Collector Namah Shivay Arjaria were also present on the occasion.
The Collector walked around the pond and took stock of works done so far for cleanliness and beautification of Hanumantal. He also discussed with area residents and requested them for their cooperation in beautification and keeping the pond clean. The Collector expressed displeasure on seeing haphazard parking of vehicles on the banks of the pond. He directed the RTO on the mobile phone to seize such vehicles.
During inspection senior officials informed that nearly Rs 50 lakh has been approved for the beautification of Hanumantal pond. An agency has also been fixed for beautification works. Officials said with the amount, a path-way will be made around the pond with red stone and new railing will also be installed on the banks of the pond. Apart from that, gardens along the banks of the pond will also be developed and selfie points will be made. After taking stock of the beautification works of Hanumantal pond, Collector Dr Ilaiyaraja T and Municipal Commissioner Vashisht inspected ISBT and Imarti Pond at Garha. He directed for immediate removal of unauthorised shops, got erected inside the ISBT premises and asked for cleanliness. He also expressed displeasure on seeing the passenger buses parked at the entrance of the bus stand and instructed the RTO to take immediate action on them. The Collector inspected ongoing work of railing around Imarti pond.
