Country’s first Eco-MediaLab to be set up in Bhopal

After a recent pact between Government of India and United Kingdom government to recognise higher education degrees and certification of respective countries in their own, Now, Bhopal will have country’s first Eco-Media-Labs with the help of Norwegian diplomat, according to the MCU official.
To disseminate environmental and ecological issues among commoners, State-run university and former Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme will work in collaboration. Exclusively talking to ‘The Hitavada’, K G Suresh, Vice Chancellor of MCU, over this issue has said, “I proposed the concept of EML before the former Environmental Minister of Norway Erik Solheim. He has taken up the issue and assured to proceed in this direction. It will be country’s first media laboratory based on environmental issues, if all goes well, will be set up in the State capital.” Solheim is in the State to attend Yuva Mahapanchayat and visited various environment projects like Bhoj wetland etc. Addressing the gathering at MCU, the minister endorsed the proposal and also tweeted regarding this, saying “Looking forward to Eco Climate (media) lab with MCU.” Pic of twitter According to the VC, university’s new campus sprawls in 50 acres with 58 lakh sqft built-up area.
Surrounded by agricultural fields and have ambience of biodiversity adjacent to it. The minister has promised that very soon details of this proposal and features of MoUs will be drafted and further process will be taken in this year.

Norwegian diplomat ,Erik Solheim has recently stated that there has been a sea of change in the last few years, and one must give a lot of credit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
