JMC staffers stage protest against NSCBMCH junior docs

To vent ire against alleged disinterest of Police Department and Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) in ensuring strict action against the junior doctors of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College (NSCBMCH) for hrashing an employee of rhe Health Department recently, the employees of the JMC staged protest and remain on strike throughout the day, on Monday. The employees also tried to march to the Medical College for protest but they cancelled the move following intervention of newly elected Mayor, Jagat Bahadur Singh.
Opposing the incident, the employees’ union leaders said the hooliganism of Medical College students cannot be tolerated by the JMC staff. They said to protest against the attack on the team of Health Department, the JMC employees were on strike since morning. The JMC headquarters, along with all 16 Zone Offices, remained closed.
After the protest the Union leaders also handed over a memorandum, designated to the Collector to SDM Srashti Rajput demanding stringent action and cancellation of registration of six junior doctors namely Nitin Yadav, Rishabh Garg, Abhinav Sahni, Sushil Kumar, Rishabh Sisodia and Dheeraj Galai, who alleged attacked the JMC team.
Union leader Ram Dubey, Yogendra Dubey and others said newly-elected Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh has assured them of necessary action against the guilty people within a week’s time. They said if satisfactory action is not taken with the said time, the JMC employees would stage massive protest.
Those participated in the demonstration were Basant Pandey, Mukesh Rajak, Surendra Yadav, Dilip Dubey, Hitler Arkhel, Harsha Patel, Arvind Dubey, Deepak Sharma and others.
