JAIN International School, Indian Olympiad, MM Rabbani and K John Public School, Saoner stormed into the semi-final of the ongoing inter-school Subroto Cup football tournament for Under 17 boys at Divisional Sports Complex in Mankapur.
Jain International had to work out hard to record two wins to make it to the last four. In the first match they defeated Prakash High School by a solitary goal scored by Parimal Tidke in the 17th min to record a 1-0 win. Later in the quarter-final, Jain International rode on the solitary strike from Shivanand Reddy (3rd min) to pip Bhonsla Military School 1-0. In the other quarter-final, blanked Delhi Public School, Kamptee 2-0 to move into last four. Mohammad Anwar (13th) scored the opener and then Ibrahim Nagani (26th min) doubled the lead.
K John Public School, Saoner were guided by Atharwa Mankar’s 9th minute strike as they beat MK Sancheti 1-0 to make it to the semi-finals.
Madrasatul Muslemin Rabbani School continued their superb form as they thrashed K John Public School, Asoli 7-0.
Hanzala Ahemad (5th min) opened the gates and then Adnan Jamal (9th, 18th, 21st and 22nd min) scored four goals including a hat-trick to make the game a one-sided affair. Arshil Akhtar (25th) and Md Kaif (29th min) were the other goal getters.
Bhonsla Military School needed a 26th minute goal from Darshit Patel as they beat Bhavan’s Ashti 1-0 to book a semis date. In Under-17 girls section, Divine Providence defeated K John Public School, Saoner by a solitary goal to move up. Simron Alosis bulged the net in the 8th minute of play.
