AVENGERS Club and Padmavati Club entered semi-finals of the Slum Soccer (West North Division) that got under way on Thursday.

The event, organised by Krida Vikas Sanstha of Godhani Gram Panchayat School, is presented by UCN News and GH Raisoni Group.

Avengers, Mankapur secured their spot in the semi-final by defeating Legend Sport Club of Ganapati Nagar, Godhani 2-0. Ravi Rock and Rohan Gigole scored goals for the winning team

In another quarter-final match, Padmavati blanked Koradi’s Kala Khatta Football Club 2-0 (West North) to book the second semi-final spot. Ishant Jadhav and Utkarsh Bansal found their names on the scoresheet for the winning team.

In earlier matches, Padmavati defeated Fagoji Nagar 2-1; Legend Sport Club, Ganapati Nagar Godhani defeated Ravidas Nagar, Godhani 5-4; Avengers defeated Baba Budhoji Nagar, Teka Naka 3-2; Shiv Nagar Football Club defeated Samante Nagar outfit 1-0; Kala Khatta defeated Bhim Nagar, Godhani 2-1 goal.

Pankaj Mahajan, Anas and Vikas Meshram officiated the matches. Pioneer of slum soccer Prof Vijay Barse wished the players good luck before the tournament kicked off.
