Cops solve blind murder mystery, arrest two

Madan Mahal police have succeeded in unfolding the blind murder mystery of an elderly woman and arrested two accused. The elderly woman was brutally murdered for loot incident. Police have retrieved Rs 1.30 lakh cash, gold jewellery weighing around 530 grams, motorcycle and equipment used in the theft.
The accused have been identified as Devi Prasad Rajkumar Patel alias Aakash Patel alias Chhotu (25), a resident of Reethi village Lakhnadon in Seoni district and Deepak Kamlesh Patel (25), of Dhuma Lakhnadon in Seoni district.
Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna disclosed this while addressing of press conference, on Friday.
SP Bahuguna informed that on August 8 police received information of finding body of a woman at her house situated in front of Ram Mandir in Kalimath Madan Mahal area. Acting promptly on the information a police team led by SHO Neeraj Verma reach the spot where Anil Kumar Abidfra, a resident of Kalimath Mandir road informed that he is living as tenant at residence of Kesarbai Choukse since last 6 months. He was fetching water at his home when he knocked the door of house owner but could not get any reply from inside the house. He immediately informed the neighbors and managed to open the door and found at commodities were spread everywhere in the house and found the body of Kesarbai in the pool of blood at kitchen and her legs for tided with electricity wire and hands what tied with nylon rope.
Senior police officers were informed about the incident. Taking a serious note into the case CSP Kotwali Prabhat Shukla along with additional SP City Gopal Prasad Khandel Additional SP crime Samar Verma and FSL Dr Neeta Jain and SP Siddharth Bahuguna reach the spot and started investigation into the case.
In prima facie of the investigation it was confirmed that the woman was killed after being hit by an identified person. Madan Mahal police registered a case under section 302 of IPC. Superintendent of Police Siddharth Bahuguna constituted a team for further investigation to identify and apprehend the accused.
Investigating the case police team nabbed the suspects Devi Prasad Patel alias Aakash Patel alias Chhotu and Deepak Patel residents of Lakhnadon in Seoni district on the basis of physical and scientific evidences.
In the interrogation one of the accused Devi Prasad disclose that he lived at residence of diseased Kesarbai from March 3, 2022 to July 28, 2022, and learnt that Kesarbai has cash and jewellery at her house. He along with his accomplice Deepak Patel planned for loot at residence of Kesarbai. As per their plan on August 7, they reached at residence of Kesarbai for hiring house for Deepak Patel. Meanwhile they threatened Kesharbai for handing over her all the valuables to them but she started shouting for help. Then he picked up a hammer and attack on head of Kesharbai and filled a cloth in her mouth. They tide her and locked in the kitchen and took away cash of Rs 1.30 lakh and jewellery from the house.
On their identification, police have retrieved cash looted cash of Rs 1.30 lakh, gold jewellery include four gold broad bangles, a gold chain and other silver jewellery.
In further investigation, police learnt that Akash Patel worked at a hotel in Jammu and Kashmir for 4-years where he purchased a motorcycle numbered JK-14F-7593 and police are verifying other information about the accused.
